Profile
Accomplished and professionally trained singer, actor, and entertainer, Luke
Martin, now shares his expertise and love of music and performance with aspiring
singers, actors, and performers. After a successful career in the Hollywood film
and entertainment industry, Luke has returned to his hometown of Monterey
where he continues to perform and teach singing and acting classes.
Professional Experience
[1990-2002] Instructor, Bancroft Cinema School of Performing Arts, Los Angeles, CA.
Luke taught On-Camera Performance, Interviewing, Cold Reading, Improvisation, as well as live “Talk Show” Production and “News Anchor” Reading. He coordinated programs such as “Teamworks” and “Education First” linking mentors from the movie industry with area schools, thereby enriching performing arts in public schools.

In the early 80’s Luke was an Acting Instructor for The Faculty Acting Academy at Debbie Reynolds’ North Hollywood Studios.
He taught Scene Study, Improvisation, Body Awareness, and Balanced Movement for professional actors.
1992-2000 Public Relations Representative, Hollywood, CA.
Handled publicity with Motion Picture Studios and production companies including, the, Sony Pictures, Kodak Corp. and the Disney Channel,
Celebrity Guest Speakers
During this same period Luke produced programs featuring celebrity
guest speakers, including: Academy Award winner, Jon Voight,
Emmy Award winner and star of the Broadway Musical, “Sammy”, Obba Babatunde, L.A. based television broadcaster, Ann Martin, and “City Guys” star, Wesley Jonathan.
Luke gave his students hands-on experiences to actually be in the movies; kids participating in casting sessions, being offered jobs as extras, some being upgraded to principal roles in the Films.
